My Companion
I walk around the alluring lands
On foot I cross the earthly folds
I climb the trees with my bare hands
To see how my journey unfolds
During my distant travels
I had one sturdy companion
Even when the world unravels
He would follow me through the canyons
He'd come in the dark, go in the light
He'd grow and shrink from my life
Even in the darkness, he was always bright
Always peaceful, lacking any strife
In him I saw my own reflection
My trust in him I could foresee
I'd always wonder of his eternal affection
Why was he always there for me?
