Across the Forest
I wanted to reach a nearby town
But I had to cross a woody forest
So I walked with a sighing frown
To cross the forest, to reach my nest
I walked through the unfamiliar forest
After hours I reached where I begun
Then I sat alone to get some rest
I got disheartened, my face showed a grin
I tried again with all my might
I knew where to start and where to stop
This time I knew retreat was right
After a few miles, I came to a stop
Now as I could see the town
I thought to my relieved self
This time I knew when to back down
I walked along with joy for myself
